WCF Announces Changes for 2022 Championships

The MC has been in discussion with Croquet New Zealand regarding the three World Championships scheduled for early 2022. Current outbreaks in Australia have led to lockdowns in both Australia and New Zealand and their nationwide travel bubble is again on hold. Travel into New Zealand currently requires an expensive two week isolation in a hotel and there is little indication of when this requirement might be lifted. Additionally, there is a clear risk that further lockdowns may be imposed in either country.

US Player Recruitment - 2015 GC Worlds

The Under-21 Golf Croquet World Championship will be held at the United Croquet Club, Christchurch, New Zealand from February 1-5, 2015

The Golf Croquet World Championship will be held at Mount Maunganui Croquet Club and other clubs in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand from February 7-15, 2015.  A Qualifying Tournament will be held from 3-5 February 3-5, 2015 at Morrinsville Croquet Club, New Zealand.

If you would like to be considered for selection to one of these events, or have any questions, please contact Eric Sawyer (ecsccs@sbcglobal.net) by no later than June 15th.

WCF Timetable for 2015 World GC Championships

The WCF announced Bay of Plenty, New Zealand as host for the 2015 World Golf Croquet Championship to be held February 7-15, 2015.  A qualifying tournament for the 2015 GCWC only will be held from February 3-5, 2015 at Morrinsville Croquet Club. The Under-21 GCWC will be held at the United Croquet Club in Christchurch, New Zealand, February 1-5, 2015.

Morning Coffee: Mulliner is the U.S. Association Singles Champion

Visit the StoreStephen Mulliner takes the U.S. Association Singles title with a -4, +7, +26 finals win over Ben Rothman and is now the first player to take open national singles titles in New Zealand, Britain, America and Australia. Croquet World Online offers a piece on changing the terrain to make croquet more "interesting" to watch/play ... ala golf. Yeah, golf like in the movie Caddyshack. I would counter that I'm not sure that golf is the sport to emulate since there's nothing particularly interesting about watching golf.
