On the Fourth of July, Ben Rothman (USA) donned the stars and stripes, and went four for four to start the singles qualifying round. Paddy Chapman (NZ) was the other player to finish the day with four wins, and looks especially strong with three triples while conceding only eight points for the day. Reg Bamford (South Africa) dropped a game, but also completed two sextuples.
