The second day of the USCA's 2016 Golf Croquet National Championship at the National Croquet Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, was just as jam-packed with action as day one. 2016 USCA Nationals Championship Saturday Update

Three players are still alive and battling for the 2016 USCA Championship Flight National Championship title -- Brian Cumming, Derrek Wassink and Stephen Morgan. Wassink and Morgan will face off at 2:30 p.m. eastern with the winner taking on Brian Cumming at 4:15 p.m. It looks like the Wassink/Morgan winner would have to win twice to snatch the title from Cumming. 2016 British Opens: Day Seven

The main event of the day was the singles quarterfinals, played as best-of-fives. Paddy Chapman showed impressive focus and control and was nearly error-free in dispatching the ever-entertaining James Death 3-1. Samir Patel was nearly as impressive in a 3-1 win over top seed Reg Bamford.

Doubles was again the main order of business for the day. In the one remaining match from the round of 16, Death and Patel (England) advanced over Essick and Hurst (USA), Patel tripling in game 1 and finishing off the contact after an Essick TPO in game 2.

US AC Nationals Final Four

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA -- The USCA National Association Rules Championship has narrowed down to Stuart Lawrence, Doug Grimsley, Brian Cumming and David Maloof. The quarterfinal action had Stuart Lawrence over Mike Todorovich 26tp-0, 26-18. Doug Grimsley took out Jim Hanks 26-0, 26tp-10. Brian Cumming worked past Paul Bennett 26tp-9, 0-26tp, 26-23, while David Maloof beat Sherif Abdelwahab 26tp-0, 26-18.
