Blake Fields Powers to 2024 Golf Croquet World Title
In a stunning display of power croquet, 18-year-old American Blake Fields claimed the 2024 WCF Golf Croquet World Championship with a 7-5, 7-5, 3-7, 5-7, 7-0 finals win over Australia's Robert Fletcher yesterday at the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club (CBCC) near Hartfield, Va.

The 2024 WCF GC World Championship delivered another entertaining day as play shifted from the round of 16 to the quarterfinals at the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club near Hartfield, Va. Robert Fletcher (AUS), Euan Burridge (ENG), Khaled Kamel (EGY) and Blake Fields (USA) all advanced to the semifinal round with Kamel and Fields needing fifth games to advance.

Eighty players battle for five days in block play to whittle down to 32. At just 11 years of age, Blake has recently made a name for himself by winning the first flight singles and the first flight doubles (with his father, Justin Fields at the USCA National Golf Croquet Championship (December 12-19, Mission Hills Country Club)! In these victories Blake bested a strong field consisting of top-ranked players from across the county.
