U.S. Golf Croquet Players Are Ready for Nationals
An elite field of sixteen players will travel to the North Carolina high country for the USCA’s 2013 Golf Croquet National Championship to be held at the Lake Toxaway Country Club in Lake Toxaway, NC. Top seed will be Stephen Mulliner of England, currently ranked seventh in the world, and winner of both the British and European 2013 Golf Croquet championships.

It was another big news week in the world of croquet and it was capped off with Rich Lamm taking down Brian Cumming 3-2 to claim the the USCA Association National Championship and the Stark Cup. Reports from Rancho Mirage indicated the best of five final lasted over seven hours. Golf Croquet Nationals were cancelled. Low turnout took the blame for a last minute tournament change this August. So instead of the sticky heat in North Carolina, Golf Croquet aficionados assembled in Rancho Mirage for a Southern California winter experience. The USCA managed to resurrect the tournament at the same venue of the record breaking 2010 competition.
