Spain defeated Wales 10-3 to claim the 2020 WCF World Team GC Championship Tier 2 title. The 2020 event was held October 11-16, 2021 in Cádiz, Spain, at the headquarters of Real Club de Golf VISTA HERMOSA, SHERRY CROQUET and the Real Club de Golf Novo SANCTI PETRI.
It was the first WCF tournament held since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic began and was contested by Wales, Switzerland, Latvia, Norway, Scotland, Spain and Canada (although only two players were able to attend) and an eighth Select Team that played friendly matches to help the schedule.

Additionally, there is a clear risk that further lockdowns may be imposed in either country.

Many players did not already have a World Croquet Federation (WCF) grade which made seeding players difficult, so everyone was placed into the same flight as one big knockout.

Read MoreThe St Johns croquet team came to Hartfield, Virginia to play a challenge match with the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club. In all, 30 players competed in this two-day tournament. The first day was all American 6-Wicket and the second day was all Golf Croquet. Both days had two flight and were played in the Swiss format where winners play winners and losers play losers and all players played the same number of games.
